"Great is the art of the beginning, but greater is the art of ending."

- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

This quote from the book, Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud

Looking forward to reading it as I feel I'm at a stage in my life when I need to let go of some stuff/projects/goals/people etc

Let you know if it's worth your dough when I'm done.

1. Make smaller To Do Lists.  List say 10 things you would like to get done in a day. Then slash it in half leaving only the top 5 things that a most important AND achievable (see Lesson #3 below).

2. Form manageable habits. Take regular dainty steps. Midway through 2013, I decided that I wanted to achieve 3 things before I left the house for work every day: Pray, exercise/stretch, write (even if it was for 30mins). Not at the expense of decent hygiene and…

The part about when the first time the fear hits you as a first-time parent that you will NEVER be able to learn/do anything fun again! lol. So true...

3 Gems that Kaufman shares in this video:

Deconstruct the skill: What are the elements of the skill e.g. language, guitar etc that if I learn will have the greatest impact? (Hmm...Sounds like 80/20 rule?)
Learn enough to self-correct: What do you need to know in this skill, so that if you are getting it…

It's okay to have a job IF you love it. If you don't… Well, 40hrs plus, a week, is a lot of time to spend on something you have no other vested interest in than a paycheck.
